What kind of oil is everyone using? How often are you changing the oil?

I am waiting until the engine life says time to change, and the first one is free at the dealership.

keep an eye on the oil as you get closer to that first oil change interval. no harm in changing oil before

Castrol Edge is not bad for full synthetic, and is pretty cheap if you buy at Walmart. I'd probably change the oil before the recommended time, Since its still new and breaking in.

If you want really good oil, get motul or royal purple, but even brands like Castrol are good too.

Once I get the car, I'm drivng it home from Louisville, KY to NYC, NY. SO after the first 2,000miles than 3,000 going forward. I only use Valvoline SYNpower Full Synthetic. Been using it in my 2007 Saturn Sky redline with a 2.0 turbo. I drive the car pretty hard time to time. It's a full city car. And I go for 1,000+ mile trips with it two to three times a year. I have over 50,000 miles on the car. It's a great oil. And I will be using it in the Spark.
