Aftermarket Rear Speakers?

Anyone replace the rear speakers on the LS Base model to get a better sound?? Make and Model speaker and did it fit the OEM Slot and connections?

The rear speakers are a non-standard size in that they are slightly larger than a 4" but smaller than a 4x6. You may have to fabricate an adapter to fit a 4" coax such as the Polk Audio DXi400, which is slightly smaller than the stock speaker size. As far as connections, you can take the stock wiring harness and solder it on to your new speakers, which makes speaker swapping easy. That way no wires are cut and when you go to sell the car, the stock speakers can be installed.

Im using kicker 4' and kicker 4x6 in the back...
did not need to customize anything... you wont be able to use the grills that come with the 4' speakers but they're going to be covered anyway by the car grills. has a community of regulars that have added kickers, infinity, polk, jbl

Do they fit? I haven't found too many speakers that fit in the rear openings without cutting the plastic or other modification.
