Kitchen Knives and Furniture for Kitchen

I want to buy my wife a nice set of knives, or maybe just a really nice knife or two for mother's Day. The problem is that I'm constantly being sucked into fake Japanese damask rabbit holes, and I have no idea what resources to trust. It seems that the market for chef's knives is awash with fakes, fakes, and marketing.

As usual, I have a taste of champagne on a PBR budget, so if any of you could direct me to a large set of bang-for-the-buck knives or a chef's knife, that would be awesome.
The last site I visited is called Vertigo, but I can't find any trustworthy reviews anywhere, so I'm skeptical.
I don't really have a specific budget, other than the fact that I don't pay $ 2,000 to the Cutco pyramid scheme.

What do you say?

BTW, I would like to buy some furniture for kitchen

What @Renren89 said above - and also, from reading a lot of knife stuff, if the electric sharpener isn't set for the right blade angle for your knives, it can screw up the edge. In all honesty I'm not sure if that's cork-sniffing/urban myth or not, but I've stuck with it after seeing more than a few people who supposedly know stuff about knives say it. Since I don't know what blade angle that sharpener uses, I've just avoided it. I won't argue that it gets her old kitchen knives nice and sharp, though - I've just avoided chancing it with mine.

There are many chefs in the world, but not many of them know how to cook with high quality and taste, especially if they have bad products and, most importantly, UNCONVENIBLE KITCHEN! Yes, many will say that in restaurants, the cooks themselves do everything right and so that they feel comfortable. But if you want to order a cook to order, then the kitchen should be conveniently and efficiently arranged, and in general, all rooms for convenience and quality of life should be perfectly arranged with high-quality furniture. And for this, the Quality furniture at steep discounts online store was created (https://www.nyfurnitureoutlets.com/). Where you can buy great furniture at great prices where any chef will cook at home.
