chrisvy I find both the flexible ones and the stiff ones work fine as long as the coil holding the wiper down and the silicone blade is in good condition.

Chev Chelios Kinda ridiculous if you ask me the dealership should have taken it off. A new windshield is not cheap what so ever. if the scratches are deep i would take it back to them and demand a new windshield.

MNSPARK Thanks JOEHORNBACK!!!! I'm embarrassed as well, I've bought at least a dozen new cars in my life and never had to remove a shipping protector off the windshield blades. But after reading your meassage I went out in the garage and tried pulling the blade off and sure enough there was a protector on them. I feel like the lady who calls 9-1-1 to say she is locked in the car and can't get out, the police officer tells her to look at the top of the door and lift the knob up. That's whats cool about these forums, you can learn such simple things that you never think of from other people. Thanks again

Kind of embarrased to admit this, but maybe that is what is happening to you???
Wow we'll don't blame yourself for it, the dealership should have done it during the pre delivery inspection. Thankfully your windshield didn't get scratched.

SparkMan99 They should stop using the frame ones as they are old technology. But yes just go to your local part store and get some flex ones and that should solve the case.

/\/\ATIZ the flex wipers are the best, had the frame type....never again.

sparked Is the flex type wiper or the old style thats all metal with a thin rubber lining that does the cleaning part?

Chev Chelios Mine seems to be just fine but if its serious just bring it back to the dealer, complain and get them replaced.
