Does anyone know what is involved when having the transmission fluid changed? Is it just draining the old fluid and putting in new fluid , or is there more to it?

OK I fixed this problem, I took the car to a Chevy dealer and they gave it a complete tranny fluid change. Best thing I could have done, the car runs smoother and shifts smoother, it's like having a new transmission.
Change is fine. I hope They didn't " FLUSH " Your Tranny. Change the Fluid, & change out The Pan Filter, No Leaks. If Your Tranny's does get " Wonky " particles from Your Tranny went all over The Tranny with that flush. You could be fine also. Every 40,000 Change the Fluid. Enjoy.
NO flush was done, only fluid change, filter cleaning and general inspection. Fluid cost is around $18 per quart. Best thing I could have done for the tranny.
No idea. I use to have Muscle Cars, that too was in the past.
