No matter if you have the LS or 1LT or 2LT there is no CD player. Does anyone have any ideas about how to add one?
Maybe installed below the center, or a CD changer in the trunk space?
I have had my Spark for 2 weeks and it rocks!

your best bet for a CD player is to wait for an install kit (Metra?) and buy any headunit to your liking, as well as a aftermarket headunit harness to hook it all up. Or you can just splice into all the wires.

I actually dont feel like I need a CD player. I use my mp3 player for everything.

i don't know forsure, I believe there is a member on here that swapped all of his OEM speakers for aftermarket. If you search you should be able to find it and PM him maybe?

Fronts should be 4"

I want to add a CD Player, too. I have music on my iPhone, but it only stores so much, besides... I have hundreds of CDs that I want to be able to play. I think it was short-sided of Chevy to not give us an option for playing our CDs. It's not like they've become like 8-Tracks or Cassettes yet. Hope to find a portable USB CD Player that will work with my Spark.

I don't feel there is a need for CD players.. In an age of digital MP3 files ruling.. There is no need for a CD player.. You can get a 32GB iPod Touch for under $300 which will store tons of music.

So true. CD players are a thing of the past. If you can do without it, GOOD! If not, get on it.

One reason i dont care about not having one. Smartphones that have large capacities for storage is the way to go

Usb drives and storage is the way to go, small, easy to carry and lots of capacity. And syncing phones too. There no more need to have clutters of cd or any sort of media storage. Clean and simple is the way to go.

I've actually considered installed an aftermarket head unit in the little area below that you're mentioning and it can be done but might be an issue when trying to sell the vehicle in the future or even turn out to be a plus.

Have you made any progress on getting this done if you needed it?

A DIY would be awesome
