Chevy Spark EV gets a combined MPGe rating of 119 miles, more than the Honda Fit EV at 118 MPGe.

- Chevy Spark EV Range City: 128 MPGe
- Chevy Spark EV Range Highway: 109 MPGe
- Chevy Spark EV Range Combined: 119 MPGe

Adding to the amazing range the fact that it's drivetrain can lay down 400 lb-ft or torque and 130 horsepower, comes with a 100,000 mile/8 year warranty (lithium ion battery covered under this warranty), and gets federal and state tax rebates that can slash up to $10 000 off of it's MSRP, it's clear the Spark EV is one efficient, fun, affordable and worry-free electric vehicle.

interesting...? So the chevy spark not only to manage getting that much mpges but more in the city than the highway too or is there a mix up in the facts?

Sorry guys I should have posted some official info or something to back up that highway and city MPGe claim, unlike a lot of vehicles the Spark EV gets more range in the city than on highway....weird... i know. But check out this if you want to confirm it's not a typo...

wow, im surprised no one has brought it up yet, even the OP should have mentioned this. but the Spark EV includes regenerative braking

For those unfamiliar, regenerative braking is a technology that pulls power generated during braking thats typically lost into power that can be extracted and stored in the Spark EV's lithium ion batteries.

Spark EV includes regenerative braking, which captures energy that would otherwise be lost while braking, decelerating or going downhill. The car does it automatically when you step lightly on the brake pedal. A heavier brake pedal pressure activates the backup hydraulic system, and the brakes operate as in a gas car, converting energy into heat at the brake discs which is a waste! Some EVs have a "L" setting, which begins regeneration as soon as you let go of the accelerator. It is like driving a gas car in first gear. This setting is ideal for slow and heavy traffic, as if in a traffic jam, or very slow city travel. The regeneration efficiency can be as high as 85%.

Thanks. I heard of Regenerative braking on the Cadillac ELR as well, but you have to physically press down on paddle shifter to activate it. It makes much more sense to have it work as an automatic function.
