0-100 km/h in under 8.5s
Chevrolet will introduce the European version of the Spark EV in March at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show.
The U.S.-spec Spark EV was launched by Chevrolet back in November at the Los Angeles Auto Show and now we have learned its European brother is scheduled to make an appearance next month in Geneva.
As you would expect, it will retain the same electric motor generating 130 hp (100 kW) and 542 Nm (400 lb-ft) of torque, enough for a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in less than eight seconds. Fast-charging the 20 kWh lithium-ion battery to an 80 percent level takes about 20 minutes, while using a regular 230V outlet requires between six and eight hours for a full charge.
There will be two full color seven-inch LCD screens inside the cabin, a rear view camera, as well as Chevrolet's MyLink. The latter will provide support for an array of applications, while those who own an iPhone 4S or 5 with iOS6 will be able to use SIRI.
