Had my new Spark almost 2 months & now has 1,942 miles. First gas tank I got slightly over 26 mpg. Was a little disappointed. But it went up every tank & last night was 31 mpg. I think this engine just needs miles to break in. I'll see if it continues to improve & when it levels off I'll do my first oil change. Full synthetic, probably Amsoil 0W-20.

About 7K miles, manual trans, nearly all city driving - solid 33mpg. Goes up if there's any hiway driving involved.
I don't really like to drive it on the freeway, we usually take a bigger car. It's great around town though.

There ya go...that's about normal unless you're easy cruising on the hiway, then you can get closer to forty.
You can't replace a sparky with a EV for less than double the cost. Down the rabbit hole we go.

Got 33.6 & 33.5 last 2 tanks so I'd call it fully broken in now. Changed the oil & filter yesterday. 2,941 miles. I haven't done a long highway trip yet. I'm sure it would do high 30s, maybe 40 if I'm going 65-70.

I have just over 8500kms (5300miles) in 3.5 months on my 2022. I am averaging ~5.8l/100kms or 40.5mpgUS. Last week at -20C or lower it has been getting 6.4l/100 or 34mpgUS.

My best trip I was getting bewtween 4.8 and 5.2 or 45-49mpgUS.

This is highway travel.

I usually average 5.8 (40mpg) round trip highway, and 6.9 (34mpg) when I combine highway and city.

Hi all, my 2021, manual has about 6500 miles on it and I average right around 42 per gallon with air on most of the time (I’m in Florida). I have changed the oil once so far. I do some
highway driving but mostly around town driving.

Interesting how you can get about 25% better mileage than I do. Mine is mostly floored though, so maybe that's it. LOL
My last car had 375hp. ;)

Seriously, mine has never gotten even close to 40. It also does not get driven on the freeway very much. At least with a motorcycle you can get out of the way. I've been nearly run over a half dozen times now - big trucks just don't even see the car.
