GM announced it has started production of its electric motors for the Chevrolet Spark EV, which will hit the market in June.

The Spark EV will offer 130 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque, and will be able to reach 60 mph in less than 8 seconds. The model will be launched in June in Oregon and California, followed by Canada, South Korea and Europe. The electric motors assembled in Baltimore are shipped to South Korea where the model is assembled, and so are the battery packs which are produced by A123 in Livonia.

The model will be priced below $25,000.

Usually with threats, any major source of funding like the automotive industry would be generating a lot of revenue and also can fund weapons and ammunition if needed. So I doubt south Korea would stop any manufacturing especially cars.

Especially when it comes to North Korea. Their threats is just a lot of hot air. It's also N.Korea's attempt to impact S.Korea's touring industry, which it actually hasn't. If the North Korean's decide to move against anyone, it would be game over for them.

In less than a month we will be able to test drive these little monsters. I think that is a reasonable price for an EV. But what are the cost of the accessories and battery chargers. Has anyone felt so much power from a similar EV before?
