Hard-Wiring a Dash Camera Into the Fuse Box?

Anyone try this? Apparently to use the parking mode of a dash camera it must be hard-wired in. If someone bumps your car or tampers with it the camera can record it (if in view). If the dash cam is just plugged into the USB port while you're parked the dash cam will be off & record nothing. I know where the fuse box is but I'm clueless what wires go to which fuses. Not all dash cameras have a parking mode but I'm shopping for one that does & also has a rear camera.
