So... 2013 Chevy spark base model, 5 speed black.... working on getting it more blacked out (that cheap chrome in the tail/head lights is killing me..) .. so far its got the stock rims painted black by myself... paid tiny bit above invoice for mine (mil discount rocks)..

I'm on atleast 20 other forums (depending on what vehicle I'm driving that week or what race I'm in)

Like the lil car overall.. have a couple beefs with it... pulling it out of gear and coasting (like down hill on the highway) dont fucking DARE put it back in 5th or it grinds even when rev matched... as well.. don't merge in traffic and skip into 5th without atleast waiting 15 minutes or it will grind... synchros in these things must be garbage. I'm going to MAKE a cobalt SS trans fit if this keeps up...also 1st gear is way to short (will probably fix with taller rims n tires)... wind/tire noise is absurd (going to talk to dealsership about wind.. sounds like could be a shitty weather seal on the front passenger quarter glass.

welcome to the forum. congrats on getting the Spark.

Black, 5 Speed Chevy Spark = best combination! Why did you get the base model, not interested in the other trims?

Can we see some pictures of your new Chevy Spark? I'd like to see how the black painted wheels look....thanks :)

Hey 70 yenko nova, I like how you took the close up of the paint on the Spark. I never realized that their was so many flakes in the black. When you do your modifications you should do a write up or at least take a lot of photos during the process. this will give other spark owners in here motivation to start doing mods as well.

Good call on not getting a touch screen, although I do find that they help with adding a premium feel to the car as it changes the whole center console layout to accommodate the unit.

smartphones these days are just too good even something old as an iPhone 3GS!

what smartphone are you using?

yes, cell phones are better than touch screens since you could do anything these days. I'll invest in a mount if anything to make it more easy for me to navigate through it while driving or using it for gps. Do any of you guys have a specific mount for you phones inside the spark?

the problem with that is in most places the law doesn't allow you to have a cell phone positioned like that as it is "distracted driving", don't know how infotainment screens are justified but don't take the risk with mounting a cell phone like that were a cop can easily see it.

Hey everyone!

I have a 2013 Spark LS w/ 4 speed automatic

I replaced the stock front speakers with 4' Focal speakers that have angled/adjusting tweeters on them. I dont utilize the back speakers due to the 10" Rockford Fosgate Sub/Amp combo in the back. The system feels alive!!!

I took out the stock air intake (my god that thing is ridiculously restricting) and placed in a DC Sport Cold Air Intake. It accelerates nicely. An area for the MAF sensor is on the CAI to be able to be mounted onto it.

The stock exhaust is out and a 2" catback exhaust is in place with a magnaflow muffler. The car just roars now along with great inner-city acceleration. (Will try to have a compressed video of it soon)

Overall, I love the feel of the car. It's really unique. There is really so much that can be done to it to fully complete its sporty look.
