That's right, Windows XP has reached the end of its support lifecycle according to Microsoft!

With Microsoft ending security updates and critical patches, tons of computer users will be forced to switch to another OS if they want to remain secure when browsing the Internet. A lot of companies are still using Windows XP, and are making last minute plans to switch over.

And with more and more devices being "on the grid" like power plants, traffic light controllers, water treatment facilities, oil refineries, and even financial institutions, here's to hoping that this change does not affect too many of them especially in this day and age of cyber attacks.

Guess I'll be upgrading to 7 on my XP machine, the others are Macs or Win7 so at least I don't have too much work to do on those.

RIP Windows XP!
