I have a 2013 Chevy Spark with a manual transmission. I got the car January 19, 2013. The past couple of months I have been experiencing a few different problems. The first was a rattle in the dash on the passenger side; it only did it when it was cold. Then it started to make a sound from under the car. I took it to a local dealer and they said that they could not hear either noise. I took it to another one, who kept it over night and drove it cold and was able to hear the noise in the dash but not the one outside because it was raining.
They put tape inside the speaker hoping that would fix the problem. I drove it cold the next morning, it did not fix it. I took it back and they ordered a new speaker and are installing that today. As for the sound underneath, they said it is the trans axle but they do not know how to fix it. They said that we need to wait for the sound to get louder or for a bulletin to be posted so they know what to do. While waiting for the new passenger side speaker to come in, the driver side has started making a noise.

Anyone else having these issues?
Is the dealer correct when they say we need to wait for a bulletin or for it to get louder? My view on it is that I have a NEW car and it shouldn’t have any issues, if it does they need fixed. If they will not fix it what should I do?

I don't know if the dealer is correct when they say they need to wait for a bulletin but what you can do is contact Chevy Customer Service, just to get a second opinion and to see what they say.

Sometimes people at the dealership are lazy. Another thing you can do, is also try a different dealership for another opinion and to see what they will do and what they know.
