This is a 2013 Spark. The suspension system is original and was never replaced as far as I can recall. Last week while driving, the front passenger side collapsed and then the tire exploded. Upon inspection, the coil spring had slipped past the bottom seat, and that made the pointy end of the spring contact the rotating tire. That basically cut the tire like a knife.

I bought new a new strut and spring, but for the life of me, I can't figure out what is holding the spring from rotating and slipping past the seat. There doesn't seem to be any clamps. What am I missing here?
